Cookie Policy
This policy explains the limited browser storage used by RDMAP and the technologies that may be involved when the site is delivered to a visitor.
Current RDMAP Storage
RDMAP can store the notice choice, saved states, and map preferences in the visitor's local browser storage. Choosing “Use atlas only” prevents new optional preferences from being persisted. These records stay on that device until the visitor clears browser data.
Backup And Import Storage
A visitor can create a portable JSON backup containing saved states, preferences, and other RDMAP offline records. Backup files are saved to a visitor-selected RDMAPBU folder when supported or downloaded by the browser; RDMAP does not upload them. Import reads only the file the visitor chooses. Confirming an import saves its data locally and enables Remember choices, as stated in the import preview. This choice can be changed in Settings. The browser may also retain the selected folder handle and local backup-status metadata.
Advertising And Analytics
The current RDMAP front-end does not set advertising cookies or analytics cookies. If optional analytics or advertising tools are added later, this policy and the site's choice controls should be updated before those tools are enabled.
Hosting And Security Technologies
Hosting, network, and security providers may process standard request data or use essential technologies to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. Those providers handle information under their own policies.
Offline Atlas Cache
RDMAP uses a service worker and browser cache storage to keep its interface, legal pages, structured state information, and 50 state map files available without an internet connection. This cache contains app files, not account data.
Managing Storage
Visitors can remove RDMAP's stored data through their browser's site-data or privacy settings. Clearing site data removes saved states, backup-status metadata, remembered folder access, and offline map files; the atlas can rebuild its map files on a later connected visit. Downloaded or folder-based backups must be removed separately by the visitor.

This policy may change when RDMAP's storage, hosting, analytics, or other technology changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
